Situational awareness is simply knowing who’s there and what’s going on around you.
It sounds easy but actually takes a lot of practice. Can you see the door, or is your back to it? Who might be purposely orbiting you or noticing your daily walk routine — and time? While situational awareness is taught to soldiers and law enforcement officers, it’s an important skill for civilians to learn as well. This course covers the basics of using situational awareness and how it can help you avoid potentially dangerous situations.

You will also learn how to take evasive actions based on your awareness level and perceptions.  Often times people see a situation developing that seems “off” but continue to walk right into it.  They assume that nothing will happen to them if they just ignore the odd behavior going on. You will learn why this is NOT true and how you can become decisive in dealing with potentially dangerous situations.

Cost is $10 per student.

Once you register for this class you will receive a Zoom link and password to attend the class.

Situational Awareness - Online

Our classes were created to address the issues women deal with on a daily basis. Because of COVID-19 you’re probably doing everything alone – from grocery shopping to getting the laundry done and we want you to have the tools to do these things safely. The aim of these women's self-defense classes is not to turn you into a fighting machine - our goal is much more realistic: to enable you to stop a potentially dangerous situation from escalating to the point where you are forced to physically defend yourself. Each of our classes will address a specific defensive issue and give you some options on what you can do to shut down a potentially dangerous situation. We’ll also offer a Q&A period at the end of each class so students can get answers on their own specific situations. Classes are one-hour long including Q&A. Cost for each class is $10.
